Youth T-Ball Instructor

The Bellefonte YMCA is seeking a Youth T-Ball Instructor to lead a fun, supportive, and engaging program. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young children and want to help build foundational sports skills, confidence, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead youth T-Ball sessions
• Teach basic baseball skills including hitting, throwing, catching, and teamwork
• Create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all participants
• Encourage skill development and sportsmanship
• Follow YMCA safety guidelines and program policies
• Communicate participant progress with parents and guardians
• Maintain equipment and ensure program areas remain clean and organized
• Take attendance and ensure participants are properly registered
• Work collaboratively with YMCA staff to deliver quality youth programming

Qualifications

• Experience working with children
• Knowledge of basic T-Ball or baseball skills
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to create a fun and structured learning environment
• Must be reliable and available on Saturdays
• Previous experience in youth sports, coaching, childcare, education, or recreation preferred
