Child Watch Staff

YMCA of Centre County’s State College Branch is currently accepting applications for Child Watch Staff who will be responsible for caring for young children and infants while their parents exercise.

Primary Responsibilities

• Greet all parents and children in a friendly manner and have parents sign their children in and out.
• Acquaint all parents and children with the area, toys, and basic rules.
• Remain alert and aware of where children are at all times. Report all accidents or issues to the Child Care Director.
• Keep the Child Watch area clean.
• Interact/play with children of all ages and use a respectful tone of voice when speaking to both children and parents.
• Perform additional duties at the director’s request.

Qualifications (should meet ONE of these criteria)

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Experience with children is helpful.

• $11.00 per hour.
